After tomato, potato prices soar in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The prices of vegetables particularly potato have gone beyond the reach of common man, Geo News reported.

The potatoes were being sold at Rs105 per kg in Islamabad, Rs100 per kg in Peshawar and Rs90 per kg in Karachi.

Following the sky-rocketed hike in the prices of tomatoes, now the potatoes (main food of poor people) prices have soared.

According to dealers at vegetable market, potato prices raised as its new crop from Punjab did not reach in the market timely besides end of its old stock.
