PPP opposes resolution against hanging of Bangladesh Jamaat leader

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has opposed Jamaat-e-Islami’s resolution against Bangladesh’s execution of Abdul Quader Mollah.

Abdul Sattar Bachani, a PPP MNA, while speaking in the National Assembly opposed the idea of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for a unanimous resolution to condemn the hanging of Jamaat’s Bangladesh leader.

The lawmaker said : we should not object to a decision of an independent country like Bangladesh.

He raised the question as to whether Mollah was not responsible for the killing of thousands of Bengalis.

The MNA said that PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was also dubbed killer of thousands of people after his conviction.
