ISLAMABAD: The federal interior secretary on Tuesday could hardly give any satisfactory answer to the questions raised by the Supreme Court during the suo motu hearing of F-8 Kachehri terror attack report submitted by the government, Geo News reported.

Supreme Court three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani is hearing the suo motu case here.

SC CJ enquired from the interior secretary as to how many policemen were actually deployed on Monday, the day of the terror incident as against the report claiming 66 policemen are normally posted for security at the F-8 Islamabad Kachehri?

Interior Secretary, Dr. Shahid replied that 47 policemen were on duty at the time of the incident yesterday.

CJ enquired how many of them were armed?

Interior secretary replied he was not aware of how many of them were armed, but two policemen did use their weapons.

CJ remarked that neither any assailant was injured nor caught, how could you say that the weapons were used. And added first you enquire from IG how many policemen were armed.

It may be recalled that 11 persons including Additional Judge, Rafaqat Hussain Awan were killed and 25 sustained injuries in yesterday’s suicide attack at F-8 Islamabad Kachehri.
