PM Nawaz takes notice of Lyari violence

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the violence in Lyari following the death of 13 people in hand grenade attacks.

The prime minister was presented a report on the violence in Lyari by DG Rangers. The prime minister later discussed the situation in Karachi with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

The prime minister called for a review of the strategy in Karachi emphasising that the situation be dealt with on a priority basis. The prime minister added that he would be receiving information from all institutions over the violence in Karachi.

According to PM House spokesman, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Karachi this week to review the law and order situation.
