Delays, arguments usual parts of dialogue process: Sami
ISLAMABAD: Head of Taliban negotiation committee, Maulana Samiul Haq Thursday termed delays and arguments as part and parcel of talks process and that efforts were afoot for an extension in ceasefire and achieving progress in other issues.

In a statement, Maulana Samiul Haq urged the Taliban and government to observe patience and magnanimity in the prevailing circumstances, as ‘ups and downs, arguments and delays are a usual phenomenon for a dialogue process’.

“Establishing peace in the country is everyone’s responsibility,” he stressed, saying he wants to stop from deteriorating the situation arising out of the announcement of no ceasefire from the Taliban.

He said there was no doubt that the government was presently facing big challenges but termed maintenance of peace as a basic need to tackle them effectively.
