Independent, Powerful Media a necessity for Democracy : Rashid

LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pevaiz Rashid says Geo has paid the fine and the served the sentence given by the PakiStan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and now the matter should be laid to rest.

Speaking to the media following a ceremony at a local college in Lahore, the Information Minister added that an independent and powerful media is necessary for Democracy.
