Funeral prayer of veteran journalist Majid Nizami offered

LAHORE: The funeral of veteran journalist, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Nawa-e-Waqt Group Majeed Nizami was offered on Saturday.

Nizami passed away in the early hours Saturday at the age of 86. He had been under intensive medical care of senior doctors at a local hospital for several days before his death.

The funeral prayers for late Majeed Nizami were offered at Bagh-e-Jinnah on Saturday morning. Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, senior journalists and a large number of people from various walks of life attended the funeral.
