Govt should desist from banning agitations: Shah
SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Opposition leader in National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah Saturday said the democratic governments should engage in talks with the political parties.

Talking to media persons here, Shah said a democratic government’s hiding behind an institution would not establish a good trend. “The government should not make frail decisions, as they never yield good results,” he added.

He said everyone has a right to protest and the government should desist from banning agitations.

Khursheed Shah said no doubt the country is in a state of war but it is not that the country’s situation is unclear in any way.

He said the decision is not right to hand over the control of Islamabad to the army. “I don’t think Chaudhry Nisar would have made the decision after taking Nawaz Sharif onboard,” he added.
