350 army men deployed under article 245 in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: To assist civil administration under article 245 of the constitution, 350 army personnel have been deployed in the federal capital, Geo News reported.

According to a notification issued by the interior ministry, over 350 army men have been deployed at key buildings including Benazir International Airport in Islamabad.

Army have been called in for 90 days to assist civil administration in Islamabad, however, the federal government has power to extend or cut down this time period.
