Nawaz reiterates resolve to hold talks with PTI, PAT
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has once again reiterated government’s resolve to find a way out from the political stalemate caused by the sit-in being staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek protesters in Islamabad.

On Thursday, the prime minister said: ”We respect people’s mandate, we even can’t imagine to use force against dharnas, we are ready to hold talks,”

He said that 12 out of 11 political parties were supporting his government, adding that he wanted to find a peaceful solution to the prevailing situation even if the protests continued. “We will allow PTI and PAT wherever they want to sit,” said the prime minister.

The embattled prime minister said that Sri Lankan President had postponed his visit to Islamabad due to the protests. He lamented: “We ourselves inform leaders of other countries that circumstances in Islamabad are not conducive (for a visit)."
