Who is US to declare Nawaz a democratic PM: Imran
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan Thursday night questioned the US authority of declaring Nawaz Sharif a democratic Prime Minister, saying ‘if we are to become a nation, we will have to stop taking dictation from America’.

Addressing the participants of his party’s sit-in in front of the Parliament House, he said PTI wants to give a clear message to the US to keep a distance from Pakistan’s politics.

He said one would have to behave like a slave when one has billions of rupees in the US banks. “A friend of the US is a traitor,” he said.

“Prime minister Imran Khan will not be a puppet like Nawaz Sharif,” he said.

He said on the hand the government offered to hold talks but on the other deployed police forces. “I am warning the Secretary Interior that if something bad happened he would not find any place to hide,” he added.

Imran Khan warned the government not to make a mistake of using the police force.

However, he added that even Punjab police have refused to act like ‘Gullu Butt’.

Reiterating his party's demand for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down, the PTI chief said: “The umpire’s finger will go up by Saturday”.

Earlier today Imran Khan reiterated that there would be no compromise on his demands for PM’s resignation and awarding of punishment to those involved in the alleged rigging of May 2013 elections.

He said he would not leave the present site of his protest until ‘I secure Pakistan’s freedom from Nawaz Sharif’. “Mian sahab make up your mind. Do you want to leave with dignity or disgrace,” he said.

He appealed the supporters of his party to gather at ‘Teen Talwar’ roundabout in Karachi and celebrate Pakistan’s independence.
