Govt. wants to amicably resolve issues with PTI, PAT: Asif
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence, Water and Power Khawaja Asif on Friday said the government wanted to solve issues with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) amicably as soon as possible.

Talking to the media outside the Parliament House, he said “We wanted to solve issues with PTI and PAT come under the ambit of constitution and law of the country without any delay.” He urged PAT and PTI to have faith in the sincere efforts of the government in defusing tension right now.

To a question, he said, opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah is a respectable person and his proposal of putting the resignation demand of the prime minister should at the last in the PTI’s demand list. The minister said due to the sit-ins, billions of dollar development projects are on hold. He said stock exchange has already crashed and the country suffered billion of rupees.

To a question, he said, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will not resign on the demand of PTI and PAT. He said procedure of removing the prime minister has been laid down in the constitution, if the protesting parties have majority they should follow the constitutional procedure.
