Imran asks Nawaz to resign for 30 days
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan on Saturday came up with yet another demand and asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down for 30 days.

In his speech to the participants of his party’s sit-in outside the Parliament House, Imran Khan said the PM should resign for 30 days during which the judicial commission may complete its probe.

“If the commission declares that Nawaz Sharif had really won the elections, then he can take back his office of Prime Minister,” he added.

He said only time would tell whether it is Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari would save the democracy or it would be him.

“I would continue to stage sit-in till Nawaz Sharif tenders his resignation, even if it takes a full year,” he said.

Earlier, the third round of talks between the government appointed panel and the protesting PTI failed to make any headway as the latter showed no sign to budge on its demand for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.
