PM Nawaz vows to uphold his oath, Constitution
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday, vowing to uphold the Constitution and supremacy of Parliament, said the country would continue to progress and anyone hindering development would be held accountable.

The Prime Minister in his address at the National Assembly, took the House into confidence over the current political situation and said it was need of the hour to shun negative politics and to use energy for the country’s progress.





The journey of progress will continue and we will complete all ongoing mega development projects, the Prime Minister said.

He thanked the treasury and opposition benches for extending support to him through a resolution favouring continuation of democracy and upholding the Constitution. He said the Parliament was representative of 200 million people and majority was supporting democracy which was unprecedented.

He mentioned all segments of society particularly civil society, traders, lawyers, media, intellectuals and minorities for supporting the democratic system.
