Joint sitting of parliament today

ISLAMABAD: The joint sitting of the Parliament will begin today (Tuesday) at 11:00AM and will continue for a week to discuss prevailing political situation in the country.

President Mamnoon Hussain summoned the joint session of the parliament on the advice of PM Nawaz Sharif.

In this regard, the Prime Minister had consulted Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah and Opposition leader in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan.

Speaker NA Ayaz Sadiq and Chairman Senate Nayyar Bukhari will jointly preside over the session.
