Qadri launches drive: write ‘go Nawaz go’ on currency bills
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahirul Qadri Sunday launched a campaign of putting ‘go Nawaz go’ on currency bills.

Addressing the participants of his sit-in here, Tahirul Qadri said the protest must continue till the elimination of the incumbent government.

Qadri launched the eccentric campaign himself by writing ‘go Nawaz go’ on currency notes. “Write ‘go Nawaz go’ on bills of Rs5 to those of Rs5000,” he told the PAT workers.

Reacting to this, the State Bank of Pakistan said writing anything on currency notes is wrong and such notes will not be accepted by the banks.

Tahirul Qadri also asked his party workers to begin a hunger strike camp.

“I want the institutions to function independently,” he said.
