Report contains recommendations of foreign observers: ECP

ISLAMABAD: Distancing itself from the report pertaining to Election 2013 on its website, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday clarified that the report was actually a compilation of the recommendations of foreign observers and returning officers.

In a statement, the ECP said the objective of the report was to highlight the problems in the electoral system of the country but it was being presented out of context.

The report displayed on the ECP website was prepared in December 2013 which outlines the problems that emerged in the general elections and the recommendations for their resolution.
