ASWJ ends protest demo in Karachi
KARACHI: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jammat (ASWJ) on Wednesday announced to end its protest sit-in against the ‘extrajudicial killings’ and ‘illegal arrests’ of its party workers.

The ASWJ activists had gathered near Gurumandir and blocked the road to stage their sit-in on Tuesday which had entered into its second day today.

Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi said that an investigation team has been formed to probe the ‘extra-judicial killings’ of its workers and, thus, announced to end their protest.

“No more sit-ins will be staged till announcement of new course of action,” they said, adding the next course of action would be decided at a meeting of ASWJ central committee on Friday.

They said the concerned authorities will inform the party about its 16 missing workers on Friday.
