Hiccups in PPP-MQM ties matter of routine: Malik
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik, who is known for his role as a peacekeeper between his party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is back in action again.

Talking to media representatives, Rehman Malik played down the current tension between PPP and MQM by saying the ‘speed breakers’ in the way of their relations are a thing of routine.

He said he is in contact with the MQM leadership, saying the heads of the parties have prevented issuance of further statements. “Minor resentments in a house are no big deal and the situation would normalize soon,” he said.

Rehman Malik first called on the Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah followed by his visit to the Bilawal House where he met former president Asif Ali Zardari.
