Younis, Azhar partnership steadies ship for Pakistan
DUBAI: Pakistan, who won the toss and batted, were 125-3 at tea on the first day of the opening Test against Australia in Dubai on Wednesday.

Younis Khan was unbeaten on a fighting 52 and Misbah-ul Haq eight not out at the interval after Pakistan lost two early wickets to Australian new-ball pair of Mitchell Johnson and Peter Siddle.

Mohammad Hafeez was leg-before to Johnson for nought while Ahmed Shahzad made only three before he was bowled by Siddle.

Azhar Ali added 108 for the third wicket with Younis before he fell to Johnson for 53. Johnson had figures of 2-16.

Both Pakistan and Australia included two spinners for the match. (AFP)
