Pakistan's internal conflict source of encouragement for India: Asif

ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the internal conflict of Pakistan is encouraging India to violate our borders and the Pakistan army is more than capable of responding to the violations but does not want to escalate tension.

During his speech in the National Assembly, Asif declared that the armed forces are fully capable of the country’s defense and our desire for peace and reconciliation should not be mistaken as our weakness.

The defense minister stated that if India thinks it can take advantage of our internal situation, it is mistaken.

He also said that both Pakistan and India are nuclear powers and should act responsibly.
