Khursheed Shah asks PTI to come to Parliament
ISLAMABAD: Appreciating the decision of Dr Tahirul Qadri to end sit-in in front of the Parliament, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf to also end its protest from constitution avenue and come to the parliament for playing a vital role.

He said Dr Qadri made a wise decision to end sit-in keeping in view the internal and external challenges confronting to the country and PTI must also patiently consider this situation and decide to end sit in. “When we overcome uncertainty it strengthens institutions and augment to national dignity”.

He also called upon the government to review its follies to avoid any future situation and advised the PTI leadership that voices raised in the parliament will be more powerful than those on the roads and processions.

“Here we can resolve the issues in a better manner. They are raising valid issues. There had been shortcomings in the system but better forum for resolution of those issues is the parliament.”

“Please do not go to media reports. There will be no harm to your party if you end sit-in. In politics sometimes we play on front foot and sometime on back foot. I request to please end sit-in for national solidarity and integrity,” Shah said.

He acknowledged that there had been weaknesses in the system and had we understood these issues earlier the situation would have not been that uncertain.

Speaking on border situation the opposition leader said India wants to exploit our internal political and security situation in the backdrop of operation Zarb-e-Azb as well as situation in Balochistan. But Pakistani nation and our armed forces are fully capable to cope with the situation.

He said the government needs to forcefully raise the issue of violations of LoC and working boundary by India at international level making the world nations realize that Pakistan desires peace in region. (APP)
