Shia-Sunni conflict result of West driven conspiracy: Fazl
QUETTA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman Thursday said Shia-Sunni conflicts are a result of a conspiracy of the West while the acts of terrorism in Quetta are part of a plot to pitch Pakistan against Iran.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Mufti Mehmood Conference, Maulana Fazl said there was no sign of government in both the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.

He said the presence of a crowd in large numbers in today’s conference organized by JUI-F Balochistan is reflective of the trust people reposed in his party. “This is what I would call a real sea of people,” the JUI-F Chief added.

He said sit-ins are staged during the day time and what everyone witnessed in Islamabad during the night time in the past weeks in the name of a protest was actually a ‘Mujra’ (indecent dance).

Later, Maulana Fazl came under a suicide attack as he got inside his vehicle to leave the venue of the procession. The Maulana remained unscathed but two others lost their lives while 30 more sustained injuries.

Initial reports suggested that one of the deceased was the suicide bomber.
