Altaf deplores killing of Hazara people
KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the killing of eight Hazara community people in Hazar Ganji area of Quetta as a result of firing by terrorists on a bus.

He said in a statement that the brutal incident was an attempt to spoil the sectarian harmony before the start of Muharram.

Hussain said that people belonging to the Hazara community had been targeted and also killed ruthlessly in the past but the killers could not be brought to justice.

Hussain extended his deep and heartfelt sympathies to Hazara community and the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the attack on the bus.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in peace and give early recovery to the injured.

Hussain demanded of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik to take notice of the brutal killing of the people belonging to the Hazara community.

He urged them to take steps for maintaining sectarian harmony during the month of Muharram.

He said that stern action should be taken against the elements fanning sectarianism. (PPI)
