POL price slash leads to decrease in sugar price

KARACHI: Per kilogramme price of Sugar has decreased after the price of petroleum products were drastically slashed by the government.

In Karachi, the wholesale price of sugar has decreased by Rs 3.52 per/kilo. Chairman Karachi Wholesale Association, Anis Majid told Geo News the price may further decrease as a result of fares becoming cheaper and start of crushing season.

General Secretary Karachi Retailers and Grocers Group, Farid Qureshi said the price of food items could be decreased by up to 15% but the provincial government would have to play its role.
