However, there has been no letup as of yet in the price of fruits and vegetables. With a price decrease expected, residents of cities across the country await relief calling on the government to slash electricity, gas and taxes.

Lahore Transport Company Chairman, Khawaja Ahmed said transporters in the city have agreed to a 8% decrease in fares. The price decrease will be applicable from Sunday. Fares for non-AC buses operating within Lahore will be Rs 15 for 4 KM, Rs 20 for 8 KM, Rs 24 for 14 KM, Rs 29 for 22 KM, Rs 35 for 30 KM and Rs 40 for over 30 KM.
