POL prices to be further slashed next month: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the government would further cut the prices of petroleum products next month.

Talking to media after chairing meeting on energy situation here Wednesday, PM Nawaz said that further cut in POL prices would help check price-hike, adding that the government wanted to transfer the benefit of price reduction directly to the common people.

The Prime Minister said those backing sit-ins do not want end to load shedding in the country, however, he said he was determined to do so.

He expressed hope that load shedding would end during tenure of the present government.
