MQM’s SVP Chiniot to be laid to rest today

LAHORE: The funeral prayers of senior vice president of Muttahida Qaumi Movement District Chiniot, Asghar Abbas Jafri who was killed by armed terrorists on Wednesday night will be offered at 3pm on Thurday at Tehseel Chowk in Chiniot.

Asghar Abbas Jafri will be laid to rest in the graveyard behind Islamia College.

Members of the MQM Raabta committee and the office bearers of MQM Punjab will attend the burial of the deceased. MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to the people of Chiniot to attend the funeral in large numbers to show solidarity with the MQM cause.

In a telephonic message to MQM District Chiniot president Chaudry Azhar Masood, Secretary General Rana Tajamul and other district leaders and workers, MQM chief Altaf Hussain expressed his grief on the incidence and said that Asghar Abbas Jafri’s death was a huge loss for MQM.
