Info indicates another Peshawar like attack: Nisar
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Sunday said information has been received that indicates terrorists are preparing to strike again and carry out another deadly attack like the one occurred in Peshawar.

“We will have to stay alert to thwart another possible terrorist act,” Chaudhry Nisar said while addressing a press conference here.

He said the nation should be in the cognizance of the fact that Pakistan is in a state of war. “The enemy is not from outside, it is from within,” he said, adding, it is high time the nation stood by the Pak Army.

He said the government’s counter-terrorism policies would be presented before the nation.

Nisar said not all the students of the seminaries are terrorists, adding, more than 90 percent of the total Madaris have nothing to do with terrorist activities.

The Interior Minister expressed his gratitude to the Ulema for condemning the terrorist attack in Peshawar.

He called upon the mobile phone companies to desist from issuing illegal sims and warned of registration of a terror case against the company if its sim was used to launch a terrorist attack.

He also asked the owners of hotels to verify credentials of the guests before checking them in for stay.

Chaudhry Nisar said Pak Army is a highly responsible institution whose troops strictly adhere to the principles of Islam and they would never subject women and children to any kind of harm. “The parameters of the Pak Army’s actions are very well defined,” he added.

He said a telephone number would be provided to the people so that they can inform about any suspicious item or individual that they come across. He called upon every citizen to come forward and do his bit towards the war against terrorism.

He directed the SHOs to keep themselves informed about the activities going on in their respective areas and ordered the DPOs to launch search operations in the sensitive areas.
