Bulls contribute 480 points to KSE

KARACHI: Aggressive buying at Karachi Stock Exchange on Monday gave a major boost to the benchmark KSE-100 Index, pushing it up by 480 points to 31,491.

Today’s trading began in the positive territory and at one point the major Index was seen at 31,572 points. However, profit taking eroded some of the gains and leaving the Index 480 points high.

According to market analysts, the investors see a renewed hope for the improvement of country’s law and order following the strict crackdown on terrorists launched by the army.

The Energy, Cement and Banking sectors remained the focus of today’s trading at the local bourse.
