Aitzaz lauds Imran’s recognizing terror war as his own

LAHORE: Senior leader Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Aitzaz Ahsan Monday said finally the PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami have also accepted the war against terrorism as their own battle.

“Those calling the Taliban as their representatives have set their path right after the Peshawar tragedy,” he said while talking Geo News here.

He also said that those who termed the war on terror as American battle have set themselves on the right track. “After signing the joint resolution, all the stakeholders have accepted the terror war as their own,” he added.

Aitzaz Ahsan lauded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan’s step of recognizing this war as his own fight. “In the past Imran Khan used to call the Taliban his representatives,” he added.

He said even a number of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders persistently labeled the terror war as that of the US battle.

He said for the first time a true consensus has been evolved on the issue of owning the war against terrorism.
