The cost of travelling in Karachi

Residents of Karachi are well aware of having to bargain with rickshaw and taxi drivers for fares. There was a time when the cost of travelling in rickshaws and taxis was based on what one would be charged according to meters. Those days are now long gone.

There are laws against having to pay these drivers what they demand but unfortunately those empowered to implement these laws are often easily bribed.
