Memogate Commission to hold open hearing: Sec Comm
ISLAMABAD: Secretary of Memogate Commission, Jawwad Abbas told on Monday that hearing of the infamous memo case will be open, Geo News reported.

According to Session Judge and Secretary Commission Jawwab Abbas, the commission would hold open hearing of the memogate case.

It is pertinent to mention that former ambassador Husain Haqqani’s ex-counsel in the case Asma Jehangir has refused to appear before the commission, saying that she has ‘no confidence’ in the judicial commission constituted by the Supreme Court to investigate the memogate scandal and refused to represent former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani in the case.

Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court (BHC) and commission head Justice Qazi Faez Isa has summoned the first meeting of judicial commission today (Monday) for probing the memo controversy.

Islamabad High Court’s Chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman and Sindh High Court’ Chief Justice Musheer Alam are also part of the judicial commission.
