Stampede at musical show kills 3 students

LAHORE: At least three girls were crushed to death when a bomb hoax stampeded thousands of youths attending a musical concert at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Geo News reported.

Details have it that the concert, organized by a private college, was about to swing into silence after a long rocking show, when a bomb hoax turned the joyous cheering into panicked shrieks with everyone running for their lives towards the exits causing many to trip over and get trampled.

The security, totally ignorant of the situation, even resorted to baton-charge to ‘calm’ the hysterical mob down, but to no avail, eyewitnesses told Geo News.

Moreover, many girls were reported to have fainted who were dashed to hospital.

The traffic outside Alhamra Cultural Complex froze after the incident as next of kin were rushing to the scene to make sure their daughters/sisters were all right.

Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, has ordered investigation into the mishap.
