Court to hear petition against Dr Shakeel Afridi's sentence on June 21
PESHAWAR: A petition challenging the sentence of Dr. Shakeel Afridi, the man who helped CIA track down al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden, has been filed at a commissioner's court here.

The commissioner's court will hear the petition on June 21.

Samiullah Advocate, the counsel for Dr. Afridi, has said that Legal Aid Welfare Organization had submitted the power of attorney on behalf of Dr. Shekeel Afridi.

Dr. Shakeel Afridi was awarded 33-year sentence by a court in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on charges of spying for another country.
