Long march: Containers block Islamabad roads
ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of containers have been placed on all the main roads in the capital city of Islamabad in the backdrop of long march called by Tehrik-i- Minhaj ul Quran (TMQ) leader Tahirul Qadri on January 14, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to reports, dozens of containers were put in position to block the roads in and around the red zone area of the city. The process has been underway from the past many days in order to secure the highly sensitive area and to restrict the marchers on January 14.

AK Fazl ul Haq Road was blocked for traffic early on Saturday morning while D-Chowk and Luqman Hakeem Road have already been closed for any sort of commuters.

The administration told that more containers will be placed on the roads and highways leading to the red zone.
