No new delimitation of constituencies in Karachi: CEC

KARACHI: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Fakhrudin G. Ibrahim has categorically stated that new delimitation of constituencies would not be carried out in Karachi, Geo News reported.

Talking to media while visiting different areas in Karachi during verification of voters’ lists in the metropolis, Fakhrudin G Ibrahim reiterated that he had accepted the Chief Election Commissioner's job as a mission and before holding free, fair and impartial he would not go anywhere.

He said the process of voters’ lists verification in Karachi was a difficult task, however, ECP staffers were working in a transparent manner to complete the job.

To a question, Fakhrudin G Ibrahim said there was no need of army for voters’ lists verification process as there is no law and order issue in the metropolis.
