Pakistan Sunni Tehrik calls off Monday’s strike
KARACHI: Pakistan Sunni Tehrik (PST) has called off a strike, which was set for tomorrow (Monday), Geo News reported.

Flanked by the office bearers of All Karachi Tajir Ittehad, Shahid Ghauri, a central PST leader, announced the withdrawal of strike call while addressing a news conference here on Sunday.

“We have decided against February-25 strike after holding talks with transporter, trader, and schools associations”, said he.

Shahid Ghari lamented before the press that Karachi had been witnessing 10-15 targeted killings everyday, it was time the residents of Pakistan’s business hub were given protection.

“The government has failed in safeguarding the public”, he said in the end.
