Pakistani pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia reach Karachi, Islamabad

KARACHI: Around 700 Pakistani Umrah pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia reached Karachi and Islamabad on two flights of Saudi Airlines on Friday.

Around 300 pilgrims landed in Karachi and nearly 400 will board a flight to reach Islamabad, Geo News reported. Four more similar Saudi Airlines flights have been arranged to bring back thousands till stranded till Monday.

Meanwhile in view of ongoing protests, the Airport Security Force (ASF) has cancelled entry passes of all Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees at all airports of the country.

Passes would be reissued on conclusion of the strike in consultation with the PIA management.
