Three killed as bus plunges off bridge in Chakwal

CHAKWAL: Three people including two woman were killed and nine others were injured when a passenger bus plunged off a bridge in Kot Qazi district of Chakwal on Monday night.

According to rescue sources, the bus plunged off the bridge after brake failure while taking a U-turn.

The deceased include Aqeel Khan, Bushra Bibi and another woman, rescue sources said, adding the bus was traveling from Manshera to Karachi.

The injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital.

In a separate incident, four people were killed and 25 others were injured when a bus overturned in Lahore’s Sundar area.

Further, five people were killed and 25 others were injured when an over-speeding truck overturned in Raiwind.

The truck carrying milk was traveling towards Lahore.
