Rangers recover Rs30mn cash from suspects involved in Hundi, Hawala

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Rangers Punjab on Thursday apprehended a group of individuals involved in 'Hawala or Hundi' and seized Rs30 million cash from them, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The group of individuals was nabbed by Rangers personnel at a joint checkpost in Ghazi Ghat, Dera Ghazi Khan, the ISPR said in a statement.

The cash was hidden in a sack placed inside the car used by the suspects. The arrestees were said to be hailing from Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab.

The suspects have been handed over to Federal Investigation Agency and police for necessary legal action, the statement added.
