LONDON: Former Sindh minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon on Tuesday said he does want to go back and live in Pakistan but does not want to become another Dr Asim Hussain.
Speaking to Geo News here, Sharjeel Memon demanded of the Pakistan government to strike out his name from the Exit Control List (ECL) so that he can freely move in and out of the country.
He said his son studies in the United Kingdom and he is presently there to visit him.
Sharjeel Memon clarified that he has no intention to seek political asylum in the UK. He claimed that he was being victimized in Pakistan.
On Monday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah took exception to the placement of Sharjeel Memon's name on the ECL.
He demanded of the federal government to rein in on the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) which, he claimed, was taking actions against Sindh government officials and leaders of Pakistan People's Party (PPP).
