Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan set for London visit again

LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan are set to visit London again, almost a month after both of them were last here.

PTI’s London President Barrister waheed-ur-Rehman confirmed that Imran Khan will be reaching London on Friday for three days to attend “two fundraisers” and to spend time with his sons, Sulaiman and Qasim.

Barrister Waheed said that fundraisers have been arranged in London and Manchester in aid of the Namal College. Fundraiser will be held in London and Manchester on Friday and Sunday respectively.

Geo News has learnt that Imran Khan will also meet the same team of forensic experts who had met him on April 11 at the office of businessman Zulfi Bukhari. Imran Khan, Jahangira Khan Tareen, Awn Chaudhary, Zulfi Bukhari and Aleem Khan had attended the meeting that lasted for three hours. Since then it has emerged that Aleem Khan, Zulfi Bukhari and Jahangir Tareen are also owners of offshore companies.

It is understood that of the three forensic companies, one has been selected and Imran Khan and Zulfi Bukhari will met the audit experts on Saturday and the meeting will take place at Zulfi Bukhari’s office.

Prime Minister Sharif left London for Pakistan on April 19 after his week-long medical treatment but a PML-N source said that the PM will be back in London again in the third week of April for “another check-up”.

The PMLN source added that Nawaz Sharif will stay in London for around three days and will meet British officials as well.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari remains in London where he is spending time "privately". It’s not clear whether Imran Khan or Nawaz Sharif will be meeting him in regard to the Panama Leaks.
