Will the real SSGC MD, please stand up

KARACHI: Managing Director Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Khalid Rehman’s position remains unclear; is he still MD SSGC or not? Industry sources confirm that post-leave Rehman has not been attending office at SSGC headquarters and instead has been maintaining office as PSO House.

Industry sources add that after going on leave, additional charge of MD was given to CFO Amin Rajput, while Khalid Rehman has taken on responsibilities as head of gas reforms program at PSO House.

Federal Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi however stated that Khalid Rehman was still MD SSGC.

Meanwhile, Chairman SSGC Miftah Ismail says, Khalid Rehman is on special assignment, but industry sources maintain that in the near future Amin Rajput is likely to be notified as MD.
