LHC allows PTI to go ahead with Raiwind march

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold its protest rally in Raiwind scheduled for September 30 (Friday).

In its ruling the court directed the concerned authorities to provide foolproof security to the participants of the rally and maintain law and order throughout the protest.

The court also instructed that no inflammatory or provocative statements be made during the protest so that law and order can be ensured.

LHC had completed the hearing of the case challenging PTI’s Raiwind march the previous day. The protest is aimed at pressing the government for accountability and investigation into Panama Papers leaks.
