Attorney General office reacts to Imran Khan statement

ISLAMABAD: The Attorney General’s office on Friday issued its reaction to a statement made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan.

In a statement Khan had said that Pakistan’s Attorney General should not represent Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case.

The AG office said Imran Khan’s statement regarding the Attorney General was not according to the law. The Attorney General is a constitutional position which only assists the court, the statement added.

The AG office in the statement further said the Attorney General does not represent any private individual.
