Police nab ringleader of armed robbers in Karachi

KARACHI: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested the ringleader of a dacoit group involved in a number of heists. Weapons and stolen goods were also recovered from his possession.

According to a statement given by police in Al-Falah jurisdiction, the arrested man identified as Rehan confessed to being the head of a twelve man a group involved in a number of thefts at different markets in the early hours by entering into shops through breaking locks.  

During the last few weeks, robberies were regularly witnessed in the city.

While speaking to Geo News, the alleged ringleader claimed he was an accomplice in only two robberies. 

Earlier on Wednesday night, robbers looted goods worth millions of rupees from three shops in Lyari’s Jhatpat market and fled from the spot immediately after the heist.
