CTD kills three terrorists in Karachi

KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police on Thursday morning killed three alleged terrorists affiliated with banned outfits on Korangi causeway.

According to SSP CTD Junaid Sheikh, the shootout took place after information from an intelligence agency.

He said that three terrorists, affiliated with a banned organisation, were gunned down after exchanging fire.

Meanwhile, police detained at least 50 suspects during search operations in different parts of the city.

According to police officials, the operations were conducted in port city’s Saddar, Dada Bhai Town and Junejo Town. Detained suspects were taken to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

They further said that door-to-door search was also conducted during the operations.
