Women among PTI workers detained outside Bani Gala

ISLAMABAD: Two women were among several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers detained on Coring Road located just outside Bani Gala. The detained women were later released by the police. 

A female PTI MPA from Jhelum Raheela Mehdi along with six others were also detained. 

The detained women are PTI workers from Lahore and were protesting with others for not being allowed to proceed to Imran Khan’s residence.

Those detained are being moved to the secretariat police station.

Earlier, police detained and later released PTI leaders Imran Ismail and Arif Alvi from the same spot.  

PTI MPA from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junaid Akbar was also detained.

Police are only allowing residents of the area to enter Bani Gala after being shown proper identification.
