LEAs arrest 98 suspects in countrywide search operations

KARACHI: At least 98 suspects, including Afghan nationals, were taken into custody by the law enforcement agencies in a number of search operations conducted in different areas of the country on Monday and early Tuesday morning.

According to reports, in combing operation after Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine blast, a crackdown is underway headed by the law enforcement agencies.

In Vehari, 30 suspects were detained. In Chiniot along with two Afghan nationals, as many as 15 suspects were taken into custody.

40 suspects were apprehended from Lahore, seven from Multan and six suspects from Sehwan.

Meanwhile, 100 more personnel were deputed at the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. The personnel will be stationed for as many as three shifts in the entire day.
